Dear Ladies,
French ladies are the epitome of elegant style. French Women have been the leading style icon for centuries. Don’t believe me ask any historian. France is the home of many of our favorite designers, such as Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Celine the lists go on and on. Looking at all the french women nowadays specifically Parisan women, their style seems so different but so similar from each other. There are just a few key items they wear on repeat that gives them that chic, demure look.
Silk Slip Dress
A French women would not be caught dead in a neon mini dress at a formal event. The midi or maxi silk satin slip dress is a fail safe option.
Blazer
Most women would wear a blazer for the office but the French no, no it’s needed for the style and look of a formal look they say. Look to the French for casual blazer looks.
Silky White Blouse
By now you can tell the French women loves the luxurious feeling of silk. French women wear a lot of white button ups, preferably silk. Paris weather is very inconsistent, Silk is temperature regulating. Silk keeps you cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cool.
Cardigan
Hate when those bumps appear on your arm when you’re cold, problem solved. A cardigan is light and easy for those chilly evenings. The Parisian women loves practicality.
Striped Top
You might feel like you’re wearing a costume when pairing this piece, but we all love a little bit of dress up don’t we. This now iconic pattern was first inspired by French sailors. Stripes were not the only things inspired by these sailors, the sailor hat and wide legged sailor pants were also from them.
Wrap Dress
The wrap dress is the most universally flattering garment on most body types. So much in fact the French style icon Jeanne Dumas is famous for wearing them.
Straight Jeans
Believe it or not ladies jeans, can be classy and elegant. When buying jeans go for a straight cut or a wide leg cut to really bring in that French chic look.
Trench Coat
The trench coat was originally designed by Burberry for soldiers. Inspiration comes from everywhere I see, invest in a nice Burberry trench coat. French women love to wear this on rainy spring days, also perfect for those who live in London.
Ballet Flats
Originally worn by ballet dancers, these shoes have weaved their way into everyday life. A nice comfortable shoe that is easy to walk in and can handle rocky terrain. Another bonus they are perfect on grass.
Strappy Sandals
A spring summer staple, easy to wear and style. For a non French trendy look go for the square toe strappy sandals. You can’t go wrong with strappy heeled sandals…. or can you?.
Wedges & Gold Hoops
This basic combination is seen on every other millennial French girl. Wedges are a classic summer must have and small gold hoops are always classy.
French women will always remain as the leading style icons or will the Italians begin to take over. Thank you ladies for tuning in on this Parisian style post, drop a comment and I will happily reply.
Dear Ladies,
The world is in chaos and sometimes we just need a break. Today and the day before I took some time off social media and had a fun spa day…… by myself. You know it’s one of those things you can’t skip, self care is very important especially now. I had a fun mani, pedi session, I do not wear nail polish. I just filed them down and smoothed them out. I find that nail polish looks terrible on my nails, I just keep them clean and short.
I also gave myself an amazing at home facial, if you want a post on that do comment below. I really took the time to relax and indulge in my favorite products. Spoiler alert they’re all from the drugstore. I find drugstore beauty brands way more trustworthy than trendy beauty brands. I do like to indulge in nice serums and creams from lamer and other high end skincare brands. My current obsession as of now is Burts bees and La Roche Posay. Those brands have the best collection of beauty products.
Latest Netflix binge show was dynasty, this show is hands down the best show after Sabrina. I created a whole list of the best Netflix shows to watch now here. I have also applied for some virtual internships which I’m really hoping to get into. I really want to dive into the fashion and media industry. I am currently working on a very fun project you ladies will enjoy to the fullest, but for now all I can say is I’m creating some pdf files for you ladies. I will have one out soon on the capsule wardrobe edit I have done here. Comment below if you’ve read that yet, I love reading all your comments.
I have not read any books the past few days, I’m currently sticking to blogs and fun informational websites like business insider. They are a great source of information on different topics. Currently I have just been obsessed with Hermès birkins and learning the history behind it. So much in fact I’ve dedicated a post to it yesterday, which you can find here. Your welcome! I have watched a lot of Hermès birkin unboxing by so many you tubers and bloggers I really want to save up for one. But for now I will stick with my Burberry speedy.
I have just been really into the luxurious lifestyle and I love the way they live. I have been looking into Parisian style and I have so much to share about this topic in the upcoming days. So stay tuned for that. I haven’t ordered anything new but I have had my eye on this amazing Chanel inspired piece. I wasn’t so sure if you ladies would want a post on designer dupes, you ladies already know I love to share my tips on the luxurious look for less. Leave a comment if you want to see that, that is all for today. Don’t forget to join me for tomorrow’s fun post. If you have any recommendations or just want to leave a comment please do down below.
Dear Ladies,
Today’s topic is a fun jump back in history. The Hermès birkin has been the most coveted and sought after bag in history. The unique shape and style of the bag attracts the eyes of many individuals. The beautiful lock and and key is an iconic totem of this bag. Replicas out there can not copy the uniqueness and exclusivity this bag projects.
This IT bag of the decades was a product of a little bit of luck and an airplane sick bag. The famous style icon and actress Jane Birkin was on a flight to London from Paris for an event. Her famous basket bag was with her of course, when she tried to put her bag in those annoying overhead bins her bag released everything. It was a giant avalanche of beauty products, baby bottles and other random necessities. She stuffed everything back and sat down in her seat annoyed and frustrated, she began to express her handbag problems to the oh so kind gentlemen seated beside her.
The man was no other than Jean Louise Dumas the head designer of Hermès at the time. All her frustrations were solved by a single sketch. Jean Louise Dumas created an intricate handbag on the back of a airplane sick bag, the Birkin 40 was born. Of course the amazing actress was obsessed with the look and style of her custom handbag. The bag was than made later in 1984 as the birkin, named after the actress.

What took so long was most likely because the bag was handmade and the leathers were exotic. The bag did not popularize until the 1990’s. Since the bag was handmade with exotic leathers, supply was small. Select Hermès stores could only have few in stock, the bag is highly exclusive. You can get used birkin bags and Kelly’s on sites such as The real real, Rebag and other designer consignment stores. These handbags go from $10,000 to $500,000, the most expensive being the Himalaya birkin.
This birkin is made with an albino alligator leather, which is highly expensive because of its scarcity. The birkin come in multiple sizes such as the, 25cm, 15cm, 28cm, 30cm, 32cm, 35cm, 40cm, 45cm and the 50cm. Of course over the years the birkin has expanded its sizes from 40cm. The most iconic bags of the birkin is, the Himalaya, The Shadow birkin, the grand mariage birkin and the away we go birkin.
Over the years the birkin bag gains value and the prices increases, many purchase this bag as a great investment and style necessity. Singapore elite Jamie Chua has the current largest birkin bag collection with over 200 bags. Victoria Beckham is close second with over 100 birkin bags. Let’s just say this bag will go down in the fashion history books.
Dear Ladies,
Today I wanted to go back to the basics and the whole idea that started my blog. I love to teach ladies out there how to look wealthy and affluent every single day without breaking the bank. I create multiple posts surrounding this subject, today I want to give you ladies the complete guide to affluent dressing.
Live your life in luxury
Fabrics
The fabric content of your clothes are very important if you want to look polished and chic. You should always wear natural fibers and high quality manmade fibers. Natural fibers feel best on the body and look 100% better than any type of polyester. Just putting this out there polyester is not a good fiber to invest in. Unless you know and trust the brand you’re purchasing from, steer clear from polyester. Instead wear fibers like, Cashmere, Linen, Silk, Cotton, Wool, Leather, Suede, Tweed.
I find that these fibers feel best on the body and the more you wash it the better it looks. Except for leather and suede do not wash those, haha. Now for the synthetic manmade fibers, Viscose, Elastane and Rayon are the most luxurious looking fibers I’ve tried on.
Keep it natural
Now for fibers you should stay kilometers away from. Do Not Wear: polyester, jersey, pvc/pu leather(anything fake looking). Also do not under any circumstances wear washed out colored clothes.
Colors
Now with colors I will not tell you to wear all neutrals and to forget about color. That’s a very big mistake ladies make when trying to look expensive. The key trick is to focus on one statement piece. If you wear a bright red bag keep your clothes neutral. Wearing too much will confuse the eye and make you look distasteful. Also wearing monochromatic looks in colors that suit you best will look great for special occasions. Wear colors like, beige, ivory, grey, black, taupe, camel, brown/cognac, white.
Now for some color wear deep gem stone colors. Colors such as, royal sapphire blue, ruby red, royal purple, orange and Red. Red is an amazing power color and it looks flattering on everyone. Do not wear bright artificial colors like neon.
Fit & Style
Your clothes should fit you like a glove. As I said before, if a garment is too big or too loose take it to your tailor, your tailor is your best friend. Also if you can get some clothes custom made for you, that way it looks chic and more personal to you. Purchase clothing in your size if an item is out of stock in your size, size up and take it to your tailor.
Your tailor is your best friend
Know the parts of your body you wish to conceal and hide, find clothes that will do just that. Or wear Shapewear from Spanx and Skims. The garment should keep its shape and look crisp and fresh. If it’s worn out throw it away or donate it. Invest in quality clothes that will last you quite a few years (about 3 years and more). Pick and choose clothes that flatter your body shape and style.
Garment Basics
To start of your elegant and affluent wardrobe invest in these key pieces. Turtlenecks, Blazers, Tailored dress, silk dress, cashmere, cardigans, black pants, white pants, blouses, tweed jacket. Accessory wise invest in, Silk scarves, designer handbag, hats, sunglasses, pearls, diamonds, jewelry. In the accessory category really invest and purchase items you love and ones that have minimal logos.
High Quality is best, Keep logos minimal
Tips
Always look neat and polished. Your clothes should be clean, stainless and wrinkle free. Keep fly away threads at bay and keep holes to a minimum. Your shoes should look presentable and polished. Wear the right type of underwear for your look and don’t show too much skin, it gives a sense of mystery. Comment below your favorite tips and your latest wardrobe purchase. I would love to know!

Dear Ladies,
Today’s post is all about how to create the perfect capsule wardrobe. My concept is really simple, and with this mini capsule wardrobe you can add another mini capsule wardrobe that works together with your first one. It’s really interchangeable and versatile. As a stylist this is exactly how I shop for myself and for my clients. It is the perfect formula for anyone and everyone. This is how I built up my current wardrobe. As I always say “Invest in the basics and adorn with the accessories”, accessories are the key to making this concept work. This formula works for any clothing category, season and even for your underwear drawer. Also ladies I’ve updated my uploading schedule to Wednesday and Saturday at 6:00 – 6:30 pm EST.
“Invest in the basics, adorn with the accessories”
– Lady Aristocrat
For this capsule you will need, 3 tops. They can be any three tops, also keep in mind what season or weather you are creating this for. To pair with those tops you will need any 2 bottoms. This can be skirts, pants, shorts, any bottoms you want. Your next item will be 1 one piece. Now this can be a jumpsuit, a dress, a bodysuit, anything like that. Moving on to other basics you will need 2 outerwear pieces. This can be a cardigan a light weight coat anything that acts as an additional layer. Lastly you will need 2 shoes and 2 accessories. All of your pieces in this capsule should mix and match well with each other. For your accessories it can be a bag, a scarf, anything of your choice. Also ladies don’t be afraid to add color, you can add a patterned piece. Extract colors from the patterns and choose pieces with those matching colors.
Dear Ladies,
For our Hijabi’s/Muslim women I have created a post on the basics of hijab fabrics. I will explain which fabrics are best for which weather and the ease of use each one ranks. Subscribe to the Newsletter for exclusive luxury content.
First let’s begin with the basic fabrics. There are, chiffon, georgette, satin, jersey, viscose, and cotton. Chiffon and jersey are the most common and most worn type of hijab fabric. Quick tip, wear light weight underscarves for hot weather and thick underscarves for cold weather.
Chiffon is a classic hijab fabric. It is slightly slippery but not too much. With the right pins and underscarf, chiffon will be a breeze. Chiffon is a great light weight fabric, perfect for hot and cold weather. They come in many colors and prints. Haute Hijab and Pearl Daisy have many beautiful chiffon Hijabs.
Georgette is similar to chiffon but it is more textured fabric. It is less likely to slip compared to chiffon. Very easy to style and like chiffon it looks very put together and affluent.
Satin Hijabs, as you can imagine is very slippery. You might want to use magnetic hijab pins. Available at Haute Hijab and Pearl Daisy. It will look the best at events such as red carpets or charity gala’s. Either way it’s a very formal style of fabric.
Jersey is the best lazy day fabric. It is non slip and and an under scarf is not needed. They come in many colors and prints. It’s most suitable for any hot and cold weather, and casual days.
Viscose has a close relationship with jersey but they are not the same. It has a little less non slip coverage but it looks more put together. It does not give off that casual feeling jersey does. Suitable for both hot and cold weather.
Cotton is a basic, it works well on many occasions. It has perfect non slip coverage, not to slippery not too non slip. It does give off a slight casual aura once you wear it. But it truly does depend on how you style it. That’s a wrap for today’s post.
Dear Elegant Ladies,
We all have to look flawless and affluent during our everyday adventures. I have created a simple post sharing my tips on how to be more expensive looking and remain yourself. Subscribe to the Newsletter and the Blog. Lets get begin, shall we.
First tip is the fabric. Look in your wardrobe look at the fabric content of your clothes. Is it polyester, acrylic or any other cheap cloth. Highly affordable brands often use inexpensive fabric. It won’t feel as luxurious as a cashmere jumper or something like that. Not all luxury or well known brands have the best of quality. Brands like Reiss or sometimes H&M will have really amazing pieces. Remember quality over quantity.
Tip 2 is the colors. Affluent women often don’t wear overly trendy or vulgar pieces. Instead of wearing a snake skin mini dress, affluent women would opt for a snake skin blouse. They might match this blouse with cream pants with some gold accessories. They wear natural colors or neutrals, while still maintain color. A simple neutral outfit with a pop of color is my favorite style formula. Neutrals pop of colour = expensive outfit/perfect outfit. Always use this formula while styling yourself or anyone else.
Tip 3 is footwear. Very high pumps or platforms are out of the question. Instead opt for a 10 centimeter heel or lower. If you really want to you can wear a 11 centimeter heel, don’t go any higher than that. Low pumps or even ballet flats will look the best on anyone. Buy shoes with a simple silhouette but with a fun embellishment. It will work every time.
Tip 4 is dress for the occasion. If you are going to be hiking through a forest, it will not be the best place to wear a floor length gown. Instead wear a cropped pant with trainers or boots. Keep a schedule of what you will be doing that day. Than create an outfit that will work well with your schedule.
Tip 5 is top handle bags and clutches. A royal tip I might add. It appears to be a staple in British royalty. On certain occasions opt for a clutch or a top handle bag for every day. They are easy to carry and you only need the essentials for everyday. In my Newsletter I have linked some of my favorite pieces. Subscribe to the newsletter to get weekly updates. A newsletter straight to your inbox every Friday.
Tip 6 is simple jewelry. Affluent people won’t wear very loud jewelry, so keep it simple. A brooch is always a favorite of mine. A simple gold necklace with a all cream outfit is a perfect pairing. If you know how you mismatch different metals you can, otherwise keep it simple.
Dear Ladies,
Shopping for elegance and class is a hard skill for any affluent lady. Especially if it’s on a budget, so I have curated a few tips on how to shop elegantly on a budget.
1. Imperfections
Always be on the lookout for any loose threads or loose buttons. The garment should be in tip top shape. If your tailor can fix it give it to them.
2. Tailoring
This might cost a bit extra but as stated in my previous tip, leave it to the professionals. If you can mend your clothes to make it flattering to you, try it. If an items is not available in your size, size up and send it to your tailor. Your tailor can be your best friend in the style department.
3. Second Hand Luxury
Hear me out on this, you can find beautiful Chanel handbags that have barely been used on second hand sites and stores. There are even some brands that allow you to rent out luxury goods. The catwalk club is my most favorable. ThredUp and The Real Real has an amazing collection of luxury goods.
4. Details
Always be keen on how a garment is styled and portrayed. I was in Zara the other day. I saw this beautiful camel coat, but what really threw me off was the cheap gold buttons. Pay attention to the details of the garment. Does it look cheap or does it look expensive?
5. Fabric Content
In Zara I discovered this beautiful satin maxi dress. It was 95% polyester satin and 5% elastane. It was really great quality for a measly $45. Make sure you are picking good natural fibers and a high quality polyester. I love to get my silks from Lily silk.
6. Dainty Jewels
Unfortunately you can’t be “cheap” with jewelry. But instead look for pieces that are stunning but wearable. Maybe a statement piece if you live a more stament lifestyle. Monica Vinader, Pandora, and Ted Baker are my favorite places to shop for jewelry.
7. Color
If you wish to buy more expensive clothes, purchase in neutrals. Majority of affluent Ladies and even men rely on neutrals. Your average black is not so great anymore opt for navy. Neutrals such has, white, cream, beige, camel and navy are easy to style and work well on many levels. Some pops of color will be great as well. But for expensive clothing go for the neutrals.
8. Style
The way you style clothes are a big factor on the elegant meter. Hire a personal stylists or send me your style dilemmas to ensure you look your best every single day.
